E87 1 SERİSİ'NE ALARM MONTAJI

**I was able to install the Alarm WITHOUT removing the rear tire. You still must jack up the car in order to remove the wheel well lining. Please read your owners manual for the proper way to jack up the car.**

First here are the parts that come in the Alarm kit:

(Siren, Siren bracket, Body Bracket, Glass break sensor, Hood Switch & Bracket, Misc. Hardware)

Step 1: Disconnect the GROUND cable from the battery, and place a rag or towel under the cable so it doesn't touch by accident when you are working on the alarm.

Step 2: Locate the hood switch cable located near the firewall on the drivers side of the car. You will have to remove the tape from the cable. Once the cable is free, remove the dummy plug covering the exposed end of the connector. Use your fingernail on the clip. Install the bracket using the included screw (my package had both a Phillips and hex head screw...it's your choice.) Insert the switch and make the connection.

**Optional: This will tell you 1er's just how how crazy I am. Cut a small piece of electrical tape (.25" sq) and place it on the hood switch, sticky side up. Then close the hood. This will mark where the hood switch comes into contact with the hood. I like to put a very very thin felt pad between the switch and the hood. No wearing of the paint

Step 3: Next, we need to install the ultrasonic glass break sensor. It is installed inside the rear cabin light assembly located on the roof of the car. Use a Popsicle stick at the end facing the front of the car to release the clips, and it should come our easily. Remove both cables. Take the glass break sensor and snap it into place. Reconnect both cables (black for the sensor and white for the light assembly) Re-install the light assembly the same way you took it out. Start with the end closest to the back of the car and then press the opposite end up.

Step 4: Jacking up the car... I won't explain this since it is in the owners manual. Please be careful. As I said at the beginning, you can do this install without removing the tire.

After you lift the car up so you can access the wheel well liner, start removing the screws and retention nuts holding in the liner. I believe they we're 10mm and 8mm. We may have a new bitch clip. They are on the left side of the wheel at the bottom of the car. You pull the center pin out, and remove the base piece. Why a possible bitch clip? The little lock pin can go flying in the air.

Step 5: After the wheel well liner has been removed, we need to locate the alarm connector. Remove the tape holding the connector in place, and don't forget to remove the dummy plug cover.

Step 6: Next place the alarm bracket in place and affix with three of the supplied nuts and tighten.

Step 7: Next install the siren to the cover bracket. Make sure you align the siren as shown in the picture.

Step 8: Move the complete assembly into position and install with the remaining screws.

Step 9: Re-install the wheel well liner and fasteners...slowly lower the car.

You are done!!!

Alarmı kullanabilmeniz için serviste beyin programlanmalıdır.
